As part of measures to ensure a resounding victory for APGA, ahead of Saturday’s State Assembly election, Governor Willie Obiano has met with the executives of the three hundred and twenty-six Wards in the State.

During the family meeting held at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Governor reminded the people that victory for APGA is warranty for consolidation of his successes.

The Governor, who described Saturday’s election as the most important to him noted that he will ensure adequate security, calling on party faithful to carry and see themselves as ambassadors and work for the success of the party.

While emphasizing that State government has banned any form of Levy collection in the markets, as well as sale of emblem, Governor Obiano pointed out that the measure will be effective till the first day of June, adding that enforcement has already begun.

On his part, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, urged party faithful to come out with one heart as they proceed to the polls on Saturday, to give the Governor and his Deputy, House members that will work with them in the remaining three years, expressing optimism for a resounding victory.

Earlier, while asking for massive support and votes for the party, the State Chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, hinted that during the last election, some members of the party worked against the party, saying that the meeting was convened to streamline things, ahead of Saturday’s election.

Representatives from the twenty one Local Government Areas took turns to speak, drumming support for the party.

Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, National Working Committee and BOT members of the party, members of the State EXCO including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye,
among others attended the meeting.
