Students have been charged to show greater commitment towards academic success.

The Call was made during the ninth Undergraduate and twenty-third postulants Matriculation Ceremony, of Paul University Awka.

The auditorium of Paul University was filled to capacity as over two hundred matriculating students and postulants gathered to witness the ceremony which attracted the academia, captains of industry, friends of the University, members of the clergy, including the former Archbishop Province on the Niger Anglican Communion and a pioneer Proprietor of the institution, Archbishop Maxwell Anikwenwa among other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering the proprietor of the Institution, the Most Reverend Dr Emmanuel Chukwuma who restated the University’s commitment towards upgrading the Institution to international standard to produce graduates that are sound both in character and learning, maintained that the general well-being of the institution, it’s staff and students are part of their primary objectives and urged the matriculants to use the opportunity judiciously so as to leave the
University better and well informed.

He called on the parents and the friends of the institution to always support the University in all ramifications while he assured that the management will do its best to ensure that the institution achieves it’s set objectives

In a remark, the founder of the institution and a former Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa while thanking God for letting him see this year’s matriculation, called on matriculants to be good ambassadors of Christ and also urged the staff of the institution to offer their best notwithstanding the challenges facing the country, expressing optimism that future will be better.

Some of the matriculants including Chioma Oguegbu and Frank Onwujekwe assured of greater commitment towards achieving their primary purpose of being there and to make the institution and their families proud
