As part of its commitment towards sustaining tempo of infrastructural development across the state, the state government has flagged off a three kilometer Innoson Drive Uru-Umudim Nnewi road.
The Innoson Drive Uru Umudim road is among the four separate roads currently being constructed by the state government for the people of Nnewi, including the Ahazu Uruagu five kilometer road, one point five kilometer Osita Onyejianya road, and one other.
Flagging off the road on behalf of the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the Deputy Governor Dr. Nkem Okeke said that the project is part of the present administration efforts towards putting smiles on the faces of the citizenry, and assured that such gesture would be extended to other parts of the state.
Governor Obiano however solicited for the total support of Ndi Nnewi and the entire state residents to his administration to enable him achieve more for all.
In an opening remarks, one of the Leaders of Thought in the area, Chief Gabriel Chukwuma appreciated the present administration for its people oriented dispositions, and promised on behalf of Nnewi people to continue to unflinchingly support the Governor Obiano government for sustained peace and continuous distribution of democracy dividends in the state.
In an interview, the contractor handling the project, Sir Okwuosa Bobby, disclosed that the projects would be completed and handed over to the state government in three months, as the government has already paid them mobilization fee.
