APGA faithful, appointees and stakeholders of Umudioka Ward Two in Dunukofia Local Government Area have passed a vote of no confidence and suspended the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance for their ward, Mr. Okechukwu Udeagu.
The suspension took place during a stakeholders meeting at the ward to appraise their outing, where they alleged that Mr. Udeagu did not support the party, in Umudioka ward 2, even though they won the last Saturday’s election for APGA which returned Mr. Lawrence Ezeudu.
The meeting rose with a communiqué duly signed by all the twenty executive members of the ward, the appointees and other stakeholders suspending the Chairman and appointing an Acting Chairman in his stead.
The suspension was in connection with accusations of alleged anti-party activities, leading of bandits to intimidate fellow party officials, withholding and embezzlement of funds meant for campaigns and others, mobilization of people for his new found party the PDP and threat to persons who refuses to join him in his new party.
According to the communiqué, against the provisions of Article 21 b of the party constitution, Mr Udeagu has engaged in many anti party activities that has brought the name of the party to disrepute, such as not summoning party meetings, lack of respect for stakeholders and members of the party, among others.
The communiqué made it clear to the public, the State and local government secretariat that they will henceforth stop recognizing Mr. Okechukwu Udeagu as their ward chairman, directing the erstwhile chairman to face the disciplinary committee and clear himself of the weighty allegations leveled against him.
Some of the appointees and stakeholders supporting the action against Mr. Udeagu are the Executive Chairman of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on IGR, Mr. Chike Odoji, Chief Peter Nwosu, among others.
