The Federal Government has set up an inter-Ministerial Presidential Inauguration Committee with a view to coordinating on activities leading to the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term of another four years on May twenty-Ninth 2019.

Inaugurating the committee in Abuja, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr Boss Mustapha recalled that about four years ago, the Buhari Administration came on board with the promise of Change built on economy, security and anti-corruption.

According to him the Government has since 2015 committed itself to working hard to achieve sustainable economic growth, as well as a secure and corruption free nation.

The Committee will plan, organize and execute all approved programmes for series of activities that will be undertaken at the event.

Meanwhile, it was a busy day yesterday for National Assembly members-elect from Anambra State, who joined their counterparts from across the federation in a double segment ceremony marking the issuance of certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission at the International Conference Centre Abuja.

The first to take place was the presentation of certificates to senators-elect, where Dr Ifeanyi Ubah of the YPP and Mrs Uche Ekwunife of the PDP featured conspicuously.

Dr Ubah is to represent Anambra South Senatorial District, while Mrs Ekwunife will represent Anambra Central in the ninth Senate that will take off in June this year.

The re-elected Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District Princess Stella Oduah was not available to collect her certificate, as at the time her name was announced.

Others elected under the PDP platform include Lynda Ikpeazu, for Onitsha North and South, Prince Chukwuka Onyema, Ogbaru, and Valentine Ayika, for Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia federal constituency, among others.

Campaign managers, family members, as well as close friends of the members-elect thronged the International Conference Centre, Abuja, in solidarity and identifying with them in their moment of glory.

The Director General of Ifeanyi Ibezi Campaign Organization, and one time Commissioner for Information in the state, Chief Tony Onyima was among the guests on the occasion.
