It was indeed a celebration of life and a moment of sober reflection as the remains of Late Ogbuefi Michael Mbadugha was committed to mother earth in his compound at Agbala
Ogbunka in Orumba South Local Government Area of the state.

Late Ogbuefi Michael Mbadugha who died at the age of eighty eight retired as a staff of Anambra
Broadcasting Service in Engineering Department and was the father of Mrs. Chinwe Emma-Madu of the Administration Department, ABS.

The burial service which took place at Saint Monica’s Catholic Church, attracted the clergy, Head of Service Anambra state Barrister Harry Uduh, ABS management and staff among others who came to pay their last respect to the deceased.

In a homily, a visiting priest, Reverend Father Uche Anowai who explained that the occasion offers Christians opportunity to demonstrate their faith in the resurrection of the dead, announced that heaven is open for everyone as Christ who died and rose from the dead, promised the believers eternal rest, charging all mortals to live a Godly life while on earth.

In a remark, the Director News and Current Affairs Department of the ABS, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, who spoke on behalf of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the station, Nze Uche Nworah, and the management, asked the family of the deceased to bear the lost with
fortitude as Christians, and console themselves with the longevity God gave their late father as well as remain united in peace, love and progress.

On their parts, the daughter of the deceased and staff of ABS, Mrs. Emma-Madu and the brother, Mr. Onyeka Mbadugha, described their late father as a peace loving man and a devout Christian and promised to maintain the legacy he left behind, praying God to grant ABS and others who came to commiserate with them journey mercy.

The son in-law to late Chief Mbadugha and Special Assistant to the Speaker, Anambra state House of Assembly on Media and Publicity, Mr. Emma Madu, noted that the deceased was a great man that detested injustice and served both God and humanity creditably.

The burial ceremony featured interment, rendition by the choir, dance by women organisation, condolence visits by in-laws, friends and well wishers.
