The Commissioner for Works Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor has assured that Ezira Bridge project will be completed in the next one month.
Engineer Ifejiofor gave the assurance when he witnessed the launch of beams over the twenty meters Ezira Bridge as well as the ongoing Construction of Ezira -Umuomaku – Enugu Umuonyia – Achina road project.
He said that the road was one of the priority projects of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration.
Engineer Ifejiofor commended the quality of work on the bridge noting that that the asphalting and drainage works were well done and the quality of the bridge perfect.
He enjoined the people of Umuomaku to be patient as the approaches to the bridge would be done as soon as the bridge has been completed.
The Project Manager, Mr. Ahmed Saheed said the bridge will soon be ready for road users as they were doing the final erection of the precast beams.
A Community Leader and former President General of Ezira Town Union, Chief E O Nnamezie commended the state government for initiating the project, saying that Ezira and all the benefiting communities would forever remain grateful.
