Family members, friends and well wishers over the weekend converged at Emmanuel Anglican Church Ogbaku, in Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State to pay their last respects to late Mrs. Esther Ughala.
Late Mrs. Chinenyenwa, aged eighty two, was the mother in-law of the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim.
the burial service attracted Priests across the country including the Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, Most Revered Dr Nicholas Oko, other Archbishops, Bishops, Members of the Clergy from different religiousdenominations among others, who came to witness the burial ceremony.
In a sermon, the Primate, Most Revered Dr Oko said death is a necessary end for all mortals stressing the importance of being prepared at all times as no one knows the hour.
Most Revered Dr Oko stated that Christ has conquered death and those who slept in the Lord would live eternally, describing the deceased as a hard working woman who diligently ran her race and raised Godly children, advising them to up hold her legacies.
Governor Willie Obiano, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu in a condolence message, said there is no limit to the pains occasioned to death especially when it involves loved ones,urging the children of the deceased to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a worthy life.
Speaking shortly after the interment, the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim who is the son in-law of Late Mrs. Ughala, thanked God who brought the two families together stating that the deceased had been an encouragement and a source of inspiration to his family, especially during their early married life and described her as unassuming, humble and diligent even as he commended her unfailing love for God.
Also speaking the wife of theBishop, Mrs. Martha Ibezim said her mother was a vitreous woman who taught them that success comes through honest labour with diligence and responsibility lamenting that the vacuum her death created will be difficult to fill.
Other children of the deceased including Mr. Ben Ughala and Evangelist Mrs. Ngozi Agbor said their mother will be remembered for her hard work, sacrifice, resilience and dedication to the things of God.
The Archbishop of Enugu Province, Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma prayed for the family, while his Diocese on the Niger Provincecounterpart, Most Revered Professor Godwin Okpala represented by Bishop of Aguata diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor did the exhortations.
