The State government says it will continue to partner organizations in the state and beyond whose aims and object with its visions and plans for a better Anambra.
The state Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke stated this when a team from the Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE, Anambra state chapter, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Government House, Awka.
Deputy Governor Okeke, who restated the commitment of the Obiano led administration towards consolidating on its achievements for Ndi Anambra in the first tenure, assured that the government would not terminate its relationship with organizations and private bodies that mean well for the state.
Dr. Okeke while commending the state chapter of the Nigeria Society of Engineers on their contributions to the progress of the state charged them to put in more efforts towards reducing the incessant building collapse in the state, and assured state government’s continuous support.
Speaking earlier, the newly elected Awka Branch Chairman of the Association, Engr. Martin Agbili who is also the state Fire Service Chief, appreciated the state government for its support so far to thev”’!! association, and promised that the group would continue to wage war against quackery in building industry, as a way of putting to an end, the issue of building collapse in the state.
It would be recalled that the Deputy Governor, was last week adopted as a ‘Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers’ at Abuja by the national body of the association.
