About eighty percent of all the roads commenced by Governor Willie Obiano led administration in Ogbunike community, Oyi local government area have been completed.

Inspecting the on-going asphalting work on Ugwunwasike-Azu-Ogbunike-Amawa-Osile-Ifite-Umueri-St. Monica College Road, Ogbunike Governor Willie Obiano announced that street lights and road markings will be installed on the road.

On arrival at the Ugwunwasike-Azu Ogbunike-Amawa-Osile-Ifite-Umueri-St. Monica College Road that is about twelve kilometers, Governor Obiano was welcomed by Ogbunike community led by their traditional ruler, Igwe John Umenyiorah as they rolled out their drums in appreciation of the asphalted five kilometers out of the twelve with completed drainage system.

The Governor, who expressed delight over the warm welcome, assured that the road will be delivered by the end of May this year.

While appreciating them for supporting APGA, Governor Obiano explained that the challenge which emanated from the contractor handling the project initially, have been addressed through a letter from the traditional Ruler to him.

The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor who noted that the state government has successfully executed forty-five kilometer of roads in Ogbunike community, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done assuring that the project will be delivered on schedule.

The Contractor handling the Project, Mr. Yinka Amosun who appreciated the harmonious relationship with the host community said, they have been fully mobilized, adding that they will fix the identified erosion site on a portion of the road to protect the project.

The Governor was also accompanied by the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Uchenna Okafor among others.
