The state government, through the Ministry of Trade and Commerce has authorized Mr. Malachy Okanume to decongest major roads along Ochanja Market environs Onitsha.
The release further certified Okanume to use market taskforce and market security to ensure the enforcement of the decongestion.
According to the release signed by the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Honourable Christian Madubuko, the roads are Zik Avenue, Mbanefo road, produce lane, Ibru fish axis, Iweka road and all the roads along Ochanja Market environs.
The statement urged the general public, particularly traders trading along these roads in
Onitsha, to comply and assist government to maintain an orderly environment and keep traffic
flowing.
