The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter, will present Award of Excellence to Governor Willie Obiano and his wife on Workers’ Day, next month.
This was contained in a Press statement signed by the chairman of the Association, Comrade Ifeanyi Okechukwu and its secretary, Comrade Alex Ebi.
The Association said that the award was in recognition of the landmark achievements of Governor Obiano in various facets of the state administration which include regular payment of salaries to workers and pensions to retired workers, Christmas largesse to all and other developmental strides in the state.
The Association acknowledge the fact that in some states in Nigeria, salaries are owed and pensions rarely paid but Governor Obiano has been steadfast in this regard in Anambra state.
The statement further disclosed that the wife of the Governor , Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, will also receive an award for her uncommon philanthropic disposition to the less privileged .
