State government is to launch the second edition of the Operation Kpochapu exercise soon.
Governor Willie Obiano made this known when he paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Chief Tony Igboka and Nimo Community at late Igboka’s Country home, Nimo in Njikoka Council Area.
The Governor assured the family that the police and other law enforcement agencies are on top alert and committed to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act of assassinating the late President General of Nimo Community.
While reiterating that the State’s security architecture is still second to non among comity of States in the Country, the Governor said that the criminals must be apprehended no matter where they are hiding or how long it takes.
Governor Obiano who further pointed out that their is no room for criminal elements to operate in the State, added that the operation Kpochapu 2 exercise will go a long way to rid the State of pockects of criminal activities which are gradually rearing their ugly heads.
For his part, the member representing Njikoka two Constituency at the State Assembly, Sir Pete Ibida said that his Constituents and Nimo Community are grateful to the Governor for responding promptly, especially the five million naira reward for anybody that will give useful information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals.
Sir Ibida continued that they are grateful for the delegations sent to them by the Governor since the incident occurred even while he was away, pledging their continued support to his government.
The Governor later signed the condolence register.
