Suspected killers of the President General of Nimo Community Chief Frank Anthony Igboka have been arrested by security agencies in Anambra .
Governor Willie Obiano broke the news of the arrest during a family thanksgiving by the Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Greg Nwakoby at Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Council Area.
The mass was held at St Williams Catholic Church Nkwelle Ezunaka Governor Obiano who expressed pride that Anambra remains one of the safest States in the Country, stressed that no crime perpetrator in the State will be allowed to walk freely and urged Ndi Anambra to remain calm and go about their normal business without fear.
The Governor who said that the assassins will be paraded soon, added that kidnappers of a banker at Otuocha were also apprehended, calling on ndi Anambra to go about their normal business activities as the State’s security apparatus is still the best.
Governor Obiano thanked God on behalf of the Nwakoby family and prayed God to continue sustaining them.
Earlier in a homily, the Vicar of St Williams Catholic Church Nkwelle Ezunaka, Reverend Father Jude Okolo, charged Christians to imbibe the virtues of love, faith and hope in the worship of God.
Reverend Father Okolo urged Christians to make sacrifices, especially in their contributions towards building the house of God to uplift humanity, appealing to the affluent in the society to
endeavour to support the work of God by offering thanksgiving to God for his blessings upon them.
On his part, Professor Nwakoby who appreciated God for his benevolence upon his family, thanked Governor Obiano for being at the thanksgiving mass, praying God to bless him abundantly.
The Governor was accompanied to the thanksgiving mass by some members of the State EXCO, Members Elect and Serving members of the Anambra State House of Assembly.
Also present were the Traditional Ruler of Nteje Community, Igwe Rowland Odegbo, the Member Elect for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe, and many other dignitaries
