Civil and public servants in Anambra State, say the implementation of the new minimum wage of thirty thousand naira will motivate them the more for greater productivity.
They spoke at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka when they joined their counterparts across the country to commemorate, this year’s Workers Day.
The event attracted large number of workers from across the State, during which they expressed their gratitude to the Obiano administration for its worker friendliness.

Speaking to the ABS, a civil servant, Mrs Amaka Nwakpa, who expressed joy over the good work of Governor Willie Obiano for the citizenry, with emphasis on workers’ welfare, observed that when the new minimum wage is fully implemented, workers in the State will be more dedicated to duty.
For another civil servant, Mr. Cres Adibeh, workers in the state are blessed under the Obiano administration for being prompt with the payment of their salaries since its inception.
Also speaking, a one-time National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Chief Ben Ezeagbaogwu encouraged workers in the state to reciprocate the worker friendly disposition of the Obiano administration through hard work.
