He revealed that the suspect upon interrogation, confessed to being among the gang members that shot and killed the late Chief Igboka adding that he is assisting the police with useful information that could lead to unveiling the circumstances surrounding the incident so as to arrest other fleeing accomplices.

The Commissioner of Police commended Governor Willie Obiano for his assistance attributing the overall success of the operation to the Governor’s doggedness in crime fighting.

He also appreciated the citizenry and urged them to be security conscious at all times even as he affirmed that community policing remains the ultimate solution to protection of life and property .

Mr Dandaura assured Ndi Anambra that the command will not relent in its efforts to ensuring that Anambra remains the safest State in Nigeria.

The suspect, Ernest Okoye while speaking to newsmen said he regretted his involvement in the dastardly act.
