The remains of Mr Patrick Aniuno the late Member that represented Onitsha Constituency One in the State House of Assembly, have been laid to rest in his Country home, Umuoji in Idemili North Local Government Area.
Governor Willie Obiano attended the funeral Mass which took place at Church of Assumption, Umuoji.
Governor Obiano described the late former Lawmaker as a man of the people and a good representative during his life time.
The Governor consoled his family members, urging them to sustain his good legacies.
Earlier in a homily, Reverend Father Cyprian Adibe, who said that death awaits every mortal, stressed that there is hope for people who died in Christ.
According to the Catholic Priest, death for Christians is a transition, asking the family, State and those he left behind to bear the loss with hope.
The Member representing Onitsha North Constituency Two in the State House of Assembly, Mr Eddy Ibuzo, the Managing Director Anambra Advertisement and Signage Agency, Sir Jude Emecheta, and member of Board of Trustees of APGA, Chief Rommy Eze-Onwuka, paid glowing tributes to the fallen Legislator, describing him as a man of great impact in his area of calling.
Governor Obiano led members of the State Executive Council to the funeral mass attended by members of the State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Mrs Rita Mmaduagwu, top government functionaries, family, friends and sympathizers.
