National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has commended Governor Willie Obiano for his commitment to workers welfare.
The Chairman, Ayamelum Local Government Area Chapter of the Union, Mr Peter Emetali who gave the commendation at Anaku the Council Headquarters described Chief Obiano as Governor with heart of gold.
The Chairman used the opportunity to thank the Governor for prompt payment of worker’s salaries and called for more efforts at ensuring that the job schedule and other legitimate benefits due to workers were addressed.
The Chairman then appealed to the government to consider the implementation of staff promotion arrears, staff claims, allowances and annual increment rates.
The Deputy Chairman of the Union in the council area, Mr Amechi Nzegwu, praised Governor Willie Obiano’s rural development strides, urging him not to relent.
Mr Nzegwu re-assured that workers will reciprocate the good gestures of the Government, by performing their duties effectively
