As part of Governor Willie Obiano’s effort in delivering dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra, a solar powered bore hole have been handed over to management and staff of Abagana Health Center.

The bore hole which will serve the maternity and Ndi Abagana was constructed by the state government through the Ministry of Public Utilities and Water Resources.

Handing over the project to the community and the hospital management, the Special Assistant to the Governor on public utilities and Water Resources Mr. Titus Aguike said that Governor Obiano administration is committed to meet the needs and welfare of state citizenry.

Mr. Aguike called on Abagana people to take ownership of the project and continue supporting Governor Obiano’s administration.

The Assistant Chief Geologist in the Ministry, Mr. Chukwuemeka Okwuogu and the President General of Abagana Improvement Union, Chief Ikem Onwuadi appreciated the state government for the gesture and maintained that the Health Center had been in need of water supply, stating that the community is already fetching water from the bore hole.

In her remarks, the Matron of the Hospital, Mrs. Ijeoma Atukwasi promised that they will take good care of the water scheme thanking governor Obiano for relieving them from the water drought.

The contractor that handled the project, Mr. Osondu Ozumba thanked God for the strength in executing the project before the scheduled time and extolled Governor Obiano for the wisdom employed in touch lives positively.
