The Anambra State President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene say cultural cooperation among ethnic groups in Nigeria will promote unity and harmonious co-existence in the country.

Reacting to the recent conferment of chieftaincy titles on Governor Willie Obiano and his wife, Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu by the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Chief Okeke Ogene said the gesture would enhance the drive towards building bridges cross cultural divides and stimulating new national consciousness.

He said Governor Obiano has sustained efforts in promoting understanding among various regions of the country.

On the democracy day celebration, the Ohaneze President said Anambra state has continued to enjoy good governance over the years which is visible in various sectors and has continued to fulfill promises made to the people.

He urged the in-coming Federal Government to ensure equitable distribution of national resources to give every part of the country a sense of belonging as well as take proactive measures to tackle the challenges of insecurity.

Similarly, the Anambra state Chief of Staff, Mr Primus Odili has extolled Governor Obiano for his giant strides in the state which he said are spreading far beyond Anambra and attracting a positive image for the state.

According to the State Chief of Staff, Mr Odili, the chieftaincy title is well deserved as Governor Obiano has written his name in gold with the various programmes and projects his administration has executed in the state.

While expressing joy to be part of Governor Obiano’s administration, he noted that the twenty million naira Community Choose your Project Initiative has become a legacy project that other states can emulate to extend development to the grassroots.
