Christians have been advised to remain steadfast and resolute in faith to face all difficulties and temptations that come their way.

The Anglican Bishop of Kwara Diocese Right Reverend Sunday Adewole gave the advise at the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi 2019 Synod held at Saint Mark’s, Anglican Church Nnewi.

The synod, which had in attendance Priests, Church leaders and Faithful, attracted mass turn out of members of the Diocese .

In his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Right Reverend Sunday Adewole, told Christians to remain steadfast and always be prayerful to overcome challenges and difficulties .

He commended the presiding Bishop of the Synod and Archbishop, Province of the Niger and Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Reverend Godwin Okpala for his sterling leadership qualities, which according to him has seen the Diocese grow and brought people closer to God.

In their remarks, Reverend Gabriel Okparaji and Reverend Thompson Obiaeli explained that Synod is a time when churches under the Diocese come together with the aim of reviewing the achievements of the church, while also planning ahead for future endeavors to move forward.

Some faithful, who also spoke at the event , including Mr. Emechebe Chukwukamma and Mrs. Nneka Okeke, said the theme of the synod; ‘Steadfastness in God’s Service’ was apt to guide Christians, especially members of the church on how to live a positive and service inspired life, anchored on God.
