Muslims all over the country have been commended for successfully completing the Ramadan fasting.

In a statement released in Abuja on Monday by the new National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Tex Okechukwu on behalf of the party’s National Chairman, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, urged Muslims to internalize the lessons of the holy season of Ramadan by living in peace with people of other faiths and avoiding acts capable of threatening the unity and sovereignty of the nation.

He expressed optimism that the end of the fasting period would have direct impact on the way of life of the people, especially those that obeyed all the tenets prescribed by the Holy Quoran during Ramadan.

Oye was full of praise for APGA Muslim faithful that obeyed the fasting rules during the rigorous processes of the congresses and National Convention held by the party that took place during Ramadam prayed God to reward and bless them as they continued to work for the growth, peace and development of APGA.

Ozonkpu Oye who was unanimously elected for another term of four years as National Chairman urged all Nigerians, irrespective of religion, tribe or political affiliation, to work for the sustenance of democracy as the only way to building a progressive and egalitarian nation.

He thanked God for the sacrifices made by Nigerians in the face of rising difficulties, urging them not to buckle but to remain hopeful for the emergence of a new Nigeria.
