Anambra State Government has urged youths to desist from cultism and engage in worthwhile ventures that will impact positively on the society.
Governor Willie Obiano gave the charge at Neni, Anaocha council area.
Governor Obiano said that cultism had been a threat to the society in recent times, urging members to renounce it or face the full weight of the law when caught.
He noted that anyone who engaged in such dastardly acts was a suspect in the death of Mr. Anthony Igboka, the late President-General of Nimo community.
The Governor, urged parents to take proper care of their children.
Governor Obiano praised the giant strides made by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, especially in education.
On his part, Bishop Ezeokafor while thanking Governor Obiano’s administration, enjoined the Governor to carry out palliative work on the existing roads to reduce mishaps.
