The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Anambra State Chapter, has inaugurated an Information Communications Technology, ICT, Committee for enhanced operations of the Institute.

Inaugurating the Committee made up of a six man expert in ICT, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Professor Stella Okunna, charged the committee to ensure that names of all registered members of the NIPR
are uploaded and computerized.

According to Professor Okunna who is the Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, the aim of setting up the ICT for the Institute is to ensure that Anambra State Chapter of the NIPR operates in accordance to International Standards urging members to liaise with the members of the committee to ensure that their names are uploaded.

Professor Okunna urged members of the State Chapter of the NIPR, to be alive to their responsibilities warning them against behavior that could portray the institute in bad light.

According to the Chairman Caretaker Committee of Anambra State Chapter of the NIPR, as Public Relations Professionals, members should always conduct themselves in a matured and orderly manner, because according to her, they are projecting and protecting the image of their various
Organizations.

The ICT committee set up by the Anambra State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has three weeks to complete its assignment.

Those present at the event were two past Chairmen of the State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Mr Fidelis Umeh and Reverend Father Professor Boniface Obiefuna among others.
