The remains of Late Mrs Esther Chinazo Okeke have been laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Umunri-Nsukwu Abatete in Idemili North Local government area.

Late Mrs Esther Okeke, who died at the aged of seventy-two, was the Mother in law to Mr Ifeanyi Jideofor of the ABS.

The burial which began with a requiem mass at the country home of late Chief Ernest Nnaebue Okeke, attracted friends of the family, in-laws, members of the Mothers Union and Women’s Guild as well as Ministers of God.

In a sermon during the burial service, a visiting priest from Saint Thomas Anglican Church Oba, Venerable Raluchukwu Okoye, noted that death is a transformation which he said is compulsory for all mortals.

He maintained that Christians should live their lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ so as not to fear death whenever it comes.

Venerable Okoye urged the children of the deceased to ensure that they do not deviate from the good legacies of their late mother praying for the repose of her soul.

In their condolences, the Director of Programmes of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mrs Kate IG Okeke and the Head of Administration of the establishment, Comrade Tina Ekenta, called on the
family members to look up to God and not to mourn like those without hope.

On his part, Mr Ifeanyi Jideofor an in-law to the deceased, while sharing his good experiences with her, appreciated God for the kind of life she lived.

Mr Jideofor prayed God to give her children the wisdom to uphold unity, peace and love which according to him were what their late Mother stood for.

The children of the deceased including Dan, Elizabeth and Chudi, noted that though they were mourning her departure as mortals, they have already taken solace in the good life she lived while on Earth.

Late Mrs Esther Chinazo Okeke is survived by nine children, nineteen grand children, brothers and sisters as well as other relatives.
