A testimonial match between Nigerian Bar Association Awka branch and Judiciary Workers, took place at the weekend in honour of the out-going Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Awka branch Mr. Gab Muoneke for his sterling leadership.

The match which took place at Paul University field in Awka, had in attendance lawyers, Judiciary workers, family members and well wishers of the out-going Chairman of the Awka branch of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The out-going Chairman, Mr. Muoneke, said that members of the Branch decided to honour him, based on their judgment of his performance and organized the testimonial match.

He noted that, apart from the widely acknowledged Amanke Okafor Biennial Lecture, which he instituted and infrastructural development at the NBA Bar Centre in Awka, bringing unity and peace amongst all the lawyers in the branch were some of his achievements.

One of those present at the testimonial match and the Vice-President of Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, South-East zone, Prince Emeka Kalu, remarked that Mr. Muoneke has made a solid foot print on the sands of time with the sterling leadership he brought at the NBA Awka branch, which has given the body a benefiting office, which depicts the noble profession.

Some Lawyers who spoke at the event, including Messrs Uche Egwu and Nnamdi Anagor, joined their voices in commending the out-going Chairman of the NBA Awka Branch for his humble leadership, which has seen it attain heights, especially the conducive NBA Bar Centre, the Amanke Okafor Biennial Lecture and peaceful co-existence of the branch members, noting that the solid foundation he laid for the branch will not be forgotten in a hurry and wished him well in all his future endeavors.
