The need to ensure maximum productivity at work through knowledge and
innovation, especially for a revenue collecting agency like the
Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, has been stressed.

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that these were the views of
participants at the just concluded one day workshop organized by the
Agency in Awka.

Bearing in mind that the world is becoming dynamic the Managing
Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Mr. Jude Emecheta,
harped on the need to close loopholes through which  government  revenue
meant for the execution of capital projects and building staff
capacity are diverted. 
Mr. Emecheta pointed out that government’s drive to build strong
institution and ensure good welfare for workers, for maximum
productivity  was part of  reasons why the workshop was put in place.

In his opening remark, the Commissioner for Information and Public
Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba represented by the Managing Director
and Editor in Chief Anambra News Papers Printing and publishing
Corporation the Publishers of the National Light Sir Chuka Nnabuife,
reiterated the achievements of Anambra State government  through small scale and medium enterprises.
In a lecture, the Chairman of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service,
Dr. David Nzekwu, noted that it is important for all government
agencies to work harmoniously and ensure that all revenue due to
government are not diverted into private pocket.

Staff of the Agency were also  enroll on the Anambra state
Health Insurance Scheme, after the Executive Secretary of the agency,
Dr Simeon Oyemaechi delivered a lecture on the importance of health to
productivity.
