Nigerian importers have been cautioned against evading duty payment for all imported goods in the country.The Apapa customs command issued the warning in view of continued seizures of vehicles without proper duty payment.

As the Nigerian Customs Service continues to record seizures of several contraband across the country, vehicles of different brands are often among the seizures showcased.While some are intercepted at the point of being smuggled into the country, many have been confiscated while being driven by the owner.According to the Customs authority, any vehicle without proper duty document is subject to seizure.
