Teachers have been encouraged to use their profession to effect positive change that would stand the test of time.
Governor Willie Obiano gave the encouragement during the burial of a retired school teacher, late Chief Sylvester Eze, at Alor in Idemili South Local Government Area.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Governor Obiano represented by his Deputy Dr. Nkem Okeke described teaching as one of the major professions with human capital development ability as it has direct bearing on human beings.
He called on teachers to utilize the opportunity to challenge the world and make name for themselves through their profession.
The Governor said teachers in the state have all it takes to perform creditably because his administration has created an enabling environment for them through revitalization of the education sector of the state.
Earlier, Reverend Father Anthony Chukwu called on Christians to always use their wealth and positions to touch lives and build eternal glory for themselves.
Emphasizing on the futility of life, Reverend Father Chukwu charged them to hold things of the world with loose hands.
