Excursion is one of the extra curricular activities to give practical  educational experiences to pupils and students.
This belief must have informed  the reason why the Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School Fegge Onitsha, visited the Anambra Broadcasting Service Awka for practical exposure.

The Pupils on arrival at the ABS Corporate Headquarters Awka were taken round the various departments and units in the station to see the various equipment and their functions.

The pupils were taken round the station by Mr. Afam Obidike of the ABS.

Speaking shortly after the tour, Messrs Ifunanya Anyiukwu and John-Paul Uhjo said that the visit has been impactful especially on things they watch and hear on television and radio.

They encouraged schools to adopt the practice of excursion because of its tendency to add reality to learning experiences which  enriches their course of study and motivate both teachers and learners.

The Head Teacher of the School Mrs. Virginia Onuchukwu noted that visits to places like zoo, tourist centers, community agencies among others increase the chances of the learners retaining what is being taught in the classroom.

She said that children learn about different professions, ideas, and opportunities when they travel outside their own neighborhood which increases their desire to try new things owing to the interest it stimulates in them.
