South Africa’s coach, Stuart Baxter has dismissed the assertion from his Nigeria counterpart Gernot Rohr that Bafana Bafana is the favourites heading into today’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final showdown.
Baxter, who told reporters yesterday, that one game does not make them favourites, adding that when they hit a balance between good organisation and getting on the ball, playing with pace and using their natural inherent technique, they can give anybody a game.

He said that they will have to produce a very good South Africa performance to beat Nigeria.
Senegal and Benin Republic will kick off the quarter final encounter by five o’clock in the evening, Nigerian time, while the Super Eagles of Nigeria will dig it out with Bafana Bafana of South Africa by eight o’clock in the evening, also Nigerian time.
