The Anambra state Commissioner for Works Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, has urged consultants handling different road designs in the state to ensure delivery of quality and durable jobs that will stand the test of time.
Engineer Ifejiofor, gave the charge in Awka at a meeting with new and old consultants who recently passed interviews to work for the state.
He emphasized that designed roads and bridges must conform to the template as drafted by the state design review committee, as anything below standard, would not be accepted by the state government.
Engineer Ifejiofor, pledged the commitment of the State Government to continue sourcing for resources to deliver quality road infrastructure to Ndi Anambra and charged the consultants to see themselves as partners in progress.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Emeka Ohuoha, congratulated the consultants for qualifying to work for the state and explained that the essence of the meeting was for them to get acquainted with their job description and pick their letters of engagement.
Responding on behalf of others, Engineer R.C Nnoli said they will bring their wealth of experience to bear on their designs as professionals in the field.
He promised that they will give the state the best in terms of quality designs and best supervision of projects.
