The Cabinet Office, office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has organized a regional meeting for Secretaries to the State Government, Heads and Permanent Secretaries of Cabinet Office in the South East geopolitical zone for effective service delivery.
The meeting which took place at the Golden Tulip Hotels Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area, attracted participants from the five States that make up the South East zone.
Declaring the event open, Governor Willie Obiano represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke commended the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for chosen Anambra State for the maiden edition of the meeting in the zone, saying that it will help to improve the services of the participants towards the development of the Nigerian-Nation.
Governor Obiano encouraged the participants to endeavour to apply the knowledge garnered during the event in their daily operations for quality service delivery.
In an address, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr.
Boss Mustapha who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Mrs Ifeoma Anagbogu pointed out that the meeting was designed to develop synergy between various Cabinet Offices at both Federal and State levels for improved service delivery.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Tunde Bello-Lawal emphasized the need for the Secretary to the State Governments to share ideas and discover effective ways of carrying out their responsibilities.
For the Reform Facilitation Manager and Federal Lead, Dr. Ordu Obibuaku the resolve of the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to facilitate collaboration, learning, and showing of good practice in the pursuit of excellence in cabinet offices across the nation is innovative and laudable.
In a remark, the Secretary to Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu requested that the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation expands its training opportunities to Staff of the Cabinet office in the South East geopolitical zone.
