The Anambra State Police Command has paraded thirty-four male suspects over various degrees of crimes. 
The  suspects, mostly in their mid-twenties and late thirties, were arrested at different locations in Anambra State, for  various crimes   including armed robbery, cultism and bag-snatching.


The suspects were paraded at the Police Command Headquaters, and items recovered from them include sixty thousand naira, fabricated revolver pistols, live cartridges, a laptop, axes, machetes, daggers, cult gears, a bag of weed suspected to be cannabis sativa, stolen phones, charms, ATM cards, condom, improvised meth cans and other dangerous items.


Speaking to pressmen, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang, reassured Ndi Anambra, both at home and in diaspora, that the police in the state will ensure that the status of the Anambra State as the safest in Nigeria will not be cut short by the intents and activities of criminals.


Mr. Abang, who took questions from newsmen, maintained that the Command  was poised to give criminal elements in Anambra State a tough time and sought the collaboration of both the government and residents, especially parents, as effective crime-fighting demands the input of everyone. 


Miss Chinenye Ubasineke, a student at Federal College of Education, Nekede, Imo State, who was attacked with a dagger, and robbed of her handbag and Tecno phone, by two of the arrested suspects, at Upper-Iweka in Onitsha, narrated  her experience. 
Some of the arrested  suspects  who spoke to newsmen, agreed to the crimes, and told their own sides of the story.
