The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released its 2019
West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results,
recording sixty- four percent credit pass in English Language and
Mathematics.

This is just as the results of one hundred and eighty thousand two
hundred and five candidates, representing eleven point thirty- three
percent are being withheld in connection with various reported cases
of examination malpractice.

The Head of National Office, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, while speaking in
Lagos said that one million and twenty thousand five hundred and
nineteen candidates representing sixty- four point eighteen percent
obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including
English Language and Mathematics.

According to him, the cases of those who allegedly engaged in
examination malpractice are being investigated, adding that reports of
the investigations would be presented to the appropriate Committee of
the Council in due course.
