The ABS football team in a friendly match played at its cooperate headquarters in Awka, defeated Wazobia FM football team Onitsha, three goals to one.
The breathtaking encounter played under heavy rains had the teams show their mettle.
ABS opened the score line in the first half and added two more in the second half to make three-zero before Wazobia FM team struggled to reply with a goal to make it three goals to one at the end of ninety minutes.


Speaking at the end of the game, the Manager of the ABS team, Mr.
Lambert Eze, while appreciating the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS, Chief Uche Nworah for his support and fatherly encouragement, noted that it was fun to watch such a friendly game, to create the spirit of unity among workers in the media industry within the state.


In the same vein, the Head of Station, Wazobia FM Onitsha, Mr. Ugo Owereji and the Captain of Wazobia team, Mr. Moses Okonkwo, popularly called Akpos Baba on radio, said the match has helped create oneness between the two media organizations.


In their own remarks, the Head of Engineering Department of ABS, Mr.
Paul Okoye and the Captain of the ABS team, Mr. Anthony Onyekachukwu, expressed their happiness for coming out victorious, calling on well meaning members of the society to support such activities to boost the morale of journalists and media workers.
