The Traditional ruler of Ukwulu in Dunukofia Council area, Igwe Peter
Uyanwa has debunked the rumours making the rounds that the certificate
of kingship of his community has been withdrawn from him.
Igwe Uyanwa stated this while addressing his subjects at Ukwulu,
warning those spreading the rumours to desist from bringing disrepute tothe kingdom as he remains the authentic ruler of the community.

Correspondent Chibuzo reports that
Igwe Uyanwa who is the Chairman of the Anambra Central Traditional
Rulers’ Council, was installed by the community and given certificate
of recognition by the state government in June 2016.
Intimating his subjects of the outcome of his visit to Abuja, which
according to him gave birth to the rumour, Igwe Uyanwa noted that it
was a developmental drive that will compliment the efforts of the
state government in placing the community at par with other
communities of the state and announced that in no distance time, the
town will witness the construction of an ultra modern library that
will instill seriousness among the students.
The Ukwulu royal father wondered why some people from neighboring
communities would in his absence choose to plant seed of discord among
his subjects thereby instigating communal feud and described it as a
sign of jealousy and sadness.
While recounting the numerous works done in the community by Governor
Willie Obiano, Igwe Uyanwa appreciated his people for their strong
believe in maintaining peace and unity while he was away and advised
all to be vigilant in order not to fall prey of mischief makers.
The President General of the community Ichie Walter Okafor and a Woman
leader in the area Mrs Ngideka Anusi, frowned at the attitude of some of their
people who allowed themselves to be used as an instrument in causing
disharmony in the society and appealed to them to avoid discord and come together to achieve a greater community.
The community earlier in chants of solidarity, welcomed their monarch
and prayer for God’s continuous blessing upon him and his household.
