A former Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Uli campus, Professor Philip Atanmuo has called on university across the country to equip their students with the requisite skills to be self employed and resourceful on graduation.Professor Atanmuo, who made the call during an interview in Ogidi, Idemili North Council Area, noted that equipping them adequately will enhance the socio-economic development of the country.While announcing the readiness of the Faculty of Agriculture Igbariam campus of the university to establish a cattle ranch for the rearing of “Efigbo” to increase the internally generated revenue of the institution, Professor Atanmuo appealed to Igbo graduates and those seeking employment to invest in the rearing of the Igbo cattle to make a living for themselves.In a related development, the state Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party, APGA, Mr. Anthony Nwakile encouraged unemployed youths to go into the breeding of the Igbo specie of cow to create employment for themselves.Mr. Nwakile expects that the vision of Governor Willie Obiano who has agriculture as one of his pillars of development should be tapped to promote entrepreneurship and mechanized Agriculture.
