Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha has
reaffirmed state government resolve to provide conducive environment
for teaching and learning in the state.
She was speaking while receiving the winner of the Federal Road Safety
Corps Quiz competition, Master Ifemeje Chukwebuka a student of
Community Secondary School Oko.
Commissioner Omenugha said governor Obiano is very passionate about
ensuring that students in the state receives qualitative education hence the training and retraining of teachers for maximum productivity.
While congratulating the winner, Professor Omenugha applauded his
efforts and charged him to remain a role model and always have his eyes on the ball.
Earlier while presenting the winner, Deputy Director Schools Ministry
of Basic Education Mrs. Vera Ogbalu, said Master Ifemeje won the FRSC quiz competition organised to mark World Club Day which three states, Edo, Delta, and Anambra participated, while out of four schools from Anambra state, Community Secondary School Oko came second, and received a trophy and cash award.
The principal Community Secondary School Oko, Mr. Augustine Orji
thanked Governor Obiano for his education friendly disposition.
Later in his appreciation remark, the winner promised to do more to
make the state proud.
Presentation of trophy to the Commissioner and handover of set of
books to the winner formed the highpoints of the event.
