Mrs Obiano Tells Youths, Women To Equip Themselves With Basic Entrepreneurial Skills

For youths to become better leaders of tomorrow, as the age-long socio-political adage puts it, they must first equip themselves with requisite entrepreneural skills that give more relevance to academic qualifications.

The wife of Governor of Anambra State, and founder of the NGO; Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, disclosed this on fifth day of her 2019 local government tour in Idemili North and South Council Areas.

Idemili North and South have a combined total of fourteen communities, including Obosi, the town with the largest voting power in Anambra State.

Addressing the people at each of two local government areas, the governor’s wife argued that for youths to take up the mantle of tomorrow’s leadership, they must seek other avenues to advance their talents, especially through skills acquisition and other entrepreneurship programmes.

She said registrations for the skills training programmes of her NGO; CAFE, were still open for both the women and youths, and charged parents to give their children and wards the required push as the war against social misdemeanors continue in Anambra State.

The Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, who spoke at Idemili North Council headquarters, said Dr Mrs Obiano’s charitable works come from passion, and not a means to achieve political ends.

In their separate remarks, the member representing Idemili South Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Chuka Ezenwunne, and his Idemili North counterpart, Honourable Ifeanyi Chiekwu, who donated household materials to CAFE, for the upkeep of persons at the Nteje Rehabilitation Home, and said he had paid for free enrolment of two hundred persons into the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, said, apart from prayers, the governor’s wife must be supported in every way to sustain the trail of her charity.
The Anambra State Commissionef for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Political Matters, Barrister Ifeatu-Obi Okoye, and his Chieftaincy and Community Liason counterpart, Mrs Vera-Queen Okonkwo, said Dr Mrs Obiano has proven to be one of the biggest assets APGA has had, owing to her tireless efforts to see that every onye Anambra is appreciated.

In their separate welcome addresses, the wife of the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North, Mrs Ifeoma Nnabuife, and her Idemili South counterpart Mrs Chinyere Ukachukwu, said the governor’s wife has provided a banner of hope for the poor through the CAFE blueprints.

Ajikwu Obosi masquerade group was also at Idemili North Council headquarters to colour the governor’s wife’s visit, while widows, the aged, disabled and children were presented with gifts, cash and educational materials.
