The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Public Utilities and Water Resources, Mr Victor Meju says the ongoing light up project in different parts of the State, is part of efforts by the
Obiano administration to ensure that its effective security network is sustained.
Speaking in an interview with the ABS in Awka, Mr Meju maintained that the light up Anambra project of the present administration will no doubt restore night life in addition to improving the aesthetics of the State.
He called on Traditional Rulers and Presidents-General of various communities across the State, to safeguard such projects and others
being put in place by the government in their localities against vandalization.
Mr Meju while regretting the indifferent attitude of the people towards government programmes and projects stressed the need for Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of government facilities in their various areas, reminding them that such projects were put in place with their tax.
He Commended the Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources
Mr Emeka Ezenwanne, for organizing series of enlightenment campaigns
on the need to safeguard government facilities by individuals calling for its sustainability.
