The Wife of Governor of Anambra State, and founder of the NGO; Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has told those who have been blessed with the means to reach out to the poor ones around them.

Dr Mrs Obiano was speaking during her local government tour in Oyi and Dunukofia council headquarters.

The Governor’s wife who spoke at each of the two local government areas, challenged those who have been privileged to find themselves in better positions to help the less-privileged among them, as way of inscribing their names in human history.

Dr Mrs Obiano who resounded the import of cheerful giving, reminded everyone that the temporariness of life meant it should be lived touching the lives of others, especially those who are bracing the storms of life.

She said the present leadership of Governor Willie Obiano understands the essence of self-assessment thereby reaching out to every onye Anambra, and adopting a method of governance that improves the lot of every person.

The member representing Oyi at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Charles Obimma, who supported CAFE with five sewing machines, and his Dunukofia counterpart, Honourable Lawrence Ezeudu, said the exploits of the present administration meant the governor’s wife has offered an invaluable result to complement the strides of the success story.

The Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Greg Nwakoby, who spoke at Oyi local government, described Dr Mrs Obiano’s model of benevolence as a practical demonstration of Christianity, and belief in humanity.

The Commissioner for Transport, Chief Uchenna Okafor, who pledged to adopt fifty people into the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, and provide support for the patients at the Nteje Rehabilitation Center, and the Chairman of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Dr Peter Egenti, said Dr Mrs Obiano has written her name on golden tablet by taking a humanitarian course that would ordinarily be viewed as unattainable.

The Executive Secretary of Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, Dr Simeon Onyemaechi, disclosed that governor’s wife has assumed an ambassadorial role for the agency, because the she believes ideals of the scheme mirrors, to a large extent, the positives of her NGO, CAFE, in coming to the rescue of the ordinary people.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Oyi Local Government Area, Engineer Nnamdi Nwadogbu, and his Dunukofia counterpart, Engineer Emeka Okonkwo said that the achievements of Dr Mrs Obiano would continue to speak about her maternal kindness even after the expiration of the tenure of the present government.

As with the norm of the tour, Dr Mrs Obiano presented bags of rice, cash and educational materials to widows, disabled, aged and children.
