Parents have been asked to avail their wards the opportunity to embrace prayers through the Block Rosary society.

The Chaplain, Block Rosary Society of Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church, Adazi Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Reverend Father John Nwankwo made the appeal during the 2019 Block Rosary and Childhood Day Celebration held at the Church field.

Reverend Father Nwankwo affirmed that through the prayers of the wards, God hearkens to the petitions of their family and forgive the short comings of their parents.

He urged everyone to devote time, treasure and talent to the service of God.
The Chairman on the occasion, Chief Chike Ezimorah applauded the coordinators of the various centers, pointing out that when they catch the children young, hardly will they slip off.
The Patron and Matron of Adazi Nnukwu Block Rosary, Sir Nworah Asiegbu and Mrs. Philomena Nwokoye said Block Rosary helps in propagating the gospel and called for the revival of every center that is lagging behind.

In an address of welcome, a member of the group, Emmanuel Anajeke commended the association for spreading the gospel in and
around the rural areas as well as teaching the children the proper way to pray.

In their separate speeches, some of the wards, including Chiamaka Okoye, Clifford Echobi and Uchechukwu Onwumelu said they benefitted from identifying with the group as they instill in them, the fear of God and how to live a positive life.

Different demonstrations from the children and cutting of cake formed the highlights of the event.
