Governor Willie Obiano has enjoined the family of Late PA Benedict Ezema of Ukpara Ozzi-Edem in Nsukka Local Government of Enugu State to emulate the exemplary life of their late father to keep his legacies alive.


Governor Obiano stated this at the funeral ceremony of Late Ezema who died at the age of eighty, and was buried at his family compound in Nsukka.
Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and reports that Late Pa Ezema was the father in-law of the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Okafor.


Governor Obiano represented on the occasion by the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Uche Okafor, described death as a necessary end for all mortal and expressed joy that the passage of Pa Ezema is no less a tragedy, given the noble life he lived.


Governor Obiano enjoined the son in-law of the deceased, Hon. Okafor and his wife Amaka to emulate his life of service to God and humanity, assuring that he would continue to sustain the symbiotic relationship between the House and the Executive Arm of Government for the benefit of Ndi Anambra.


On his part, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr.
Paschal Agbodike who led members of the House to the funeral ceremony said that they were deeply touched by the death of late Ezema and enjoined his son in-law, Hon. Okafor and his family to be consoled by the fact that he lived a fulfilled life.


The Majority Leader, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor, thanked God for the life of Late Ezema ,assuring that the Anambra State House of Assembly under the son in-law, Hon. Okafor will continue to work in unity for the benefit of the state.


On his part, the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Okechukwu Okoye also commiserated with the family of the deceased.


The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah who attended the funeral ceremony as a member of the Executive Arm of Government, prayed God to bless the family of late Pa Ezema and be with them in this trying time.


Responding, the Speaker, Hon. Okafor described the death of his father in-law as a celebration of life well spent, describing him as an honest man who inculcated the fear of God in his children and cared for his community, assuring that he would keep his legacy alive
