One thousand, six hundred and two 2019 batch B stream two corps members have been officially sworn in for Orientation in Anambra state.
The formal opening ceremony and swearing in took place at the temporary NYSC Orientation Camp at Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area.
Speaking during the occasion, Governor Willie Obiano said his administration will continue to provide enabling environment for the youths to maximize their potential of self actualization and self employment.


Governor Obiano represented by the Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Mr Afam Mbanefo, implored the corps members to exhibit the highest degrees of loyalty, dedication, discipline and commitment, assuring those who will distinguish themselves of rewards at the end of their service year.


The Governor also implored the NYSC management to be patient with the state government as it is working assiduously to ensure that the NYSC permanent Orientation ca6mp, Umuawulu-Mbaukwu is ready for use before the end of year .


In his remark, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mr Kehinde Aremu, while welcoming the corps members to Anambra state, explained that in the course of the exercise, they will be introduced to many issues bordering on good governance and national development.


Describing Anambra state as the most youth friendly state in Nigeria, Mr Aremu appreciated Governor Obiano for his unwavering support and cooperation to the scheme.


Speaking to the ABS, some of the Corps Members, including Mr Richard Ibeto and Miss Chinenye Raymond, expressed delight over their posting to the state assuring that they will contribute their quota to the progress and development of the state.


The oath-taking which was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Ijem Onwuamaegbu as well as parade featured at the event.
