The European Union programme co-ordinator on Anambra fact finding Mission Mrs Kate Kainebi has expressed satisfaction with the implementation of projects in Anambra East Local Government Area.
Mrs Kainebi stated this at Agbudu Ani Nando shortly after they inspected all the projects supported by the European Union and UNICEF.
She expressed joy on the open defecation free status of the area and advised them to keep practicing save water and hygiene to ensure disease free environment.
The UNICEF-WASH Manager Abuja, Mr Michael Ferson called for concerted efforts to ensure a healthy living.
The State Supervising Engineer handling the Odene Regional Water Scheme, Aguleri, Mr Linus Kantiok said all the needed equipment for the completion of the projects are on ground and promised to deliver on schedule.
The President general Aguleri Community, Mr Hippolite Onwuegbuke and a Chieftain at Agbudu Ani village Nando, Chief John Iwuno commended Governor Willie Obiano for the interventions, pledging their commitment to ensuring sustainability of the projects.
Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that the team visited Odene Otuocha water scheme, Obinetiti Umueri community water scheme and Umuala Eziagulu –Aguleri among others.
