Anambra State Government will spend nine hundred and five million Naira for construction of mini stadia in every community in the state.
Governor Willie Obiano who disclosed this recently in Awka said that out of the amount, five million Naira each would be given to each of the communities in the State for construction or upgrade of two mini stadia to serve as modern training facilities for youths.
He expressed the hope that through the initiative the sporting talents among Anambra youths will find greater expression and in due cause dominate the sporting arena in the country and across the world.
The Governor said that the resolve was in line with his burning desire to revamp sports in Anambra, so as to engage students and youths to attain greater heights.
He noted that youths of the state have always risen to the challenge to represent the best that Nigeria and Africa have to offer to the world.
