As the state marks twenty eight years of creation today, the Speaker of the Anambra state House of Assembly, Honourable Uche Okafor says the state legislature will continue to enact laws aimed at total development of the state as well as the improvement of the living condition of the citizenry.
In his felicitation to Governor Willie Obiano and Ndi Anambra on behalf of the State Legislature, Honourable Okafor noted that though the state had witnessed successes and challenges at different times in the past twenty eight years, the Obiano administration has recorded sustainable development in all sectors of the state economy.
The Speaker who extolled the efforts of the founding fathers of the state towards creation of the state, enjoined politicians to see the peace and progress of the state as a collective responsibility.
He expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship existing among the three arms of government in the state and commended Governor Obiano for moving the state to an enviable height through good governance.
Honourable Okafor called on affluent citizens to key into Governor Obiano’s community development initiative by committing part of their resources to the development of their various communities.
