Those occupying elective positions have been charged to always fulfill their campaign promises by ensuring equitable distribution of democracy dividends at their various areas of representation.
Governor Willie Obiano gave the charge during the inauguration of the constituency office of the Member Representing Idemili North and South federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi.
Governor Obiano represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke while commending Chief Ibezi for his positive step towards making the people of the Constituency feel the impact of good governance, pointed out that what should be the major objective of every representative is to serve the people with their various positions.
In a remark the Assembly Chief Ibezi who was elected
under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, expressed the hope that information received from the people at the office will enable him know their challenges with a view to tackling them without delay.
The office which is located at the old Enugu-Onitsha road, Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area, is part of his campaign promises which include bringing governance closer to the people.
It will serve as feedback mechanism for the people of the constituency, as they are free to visit and lay complaints, as well as make suggestions on how to make the constituency better.
