Governor Willie Obiano has charged the State power Committee to address irregular billings by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.


He gave the charge while inaugurating the Committee for another term of four years at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.


While inaugurating the committee Governor Obiano said his administration is determined to tackle the challenge of epileptic power supply, saying that accurate billings by the EEDC will go a long way in reducing the sufferings of then.


The Commissioner for Public Utilities, Mr Emeka Ezenwanne said that the present administration has done a lot in the power sector, especially in the light up Anambra project, saying that a legacy project under Governor Obiano is the Transmission project, which he said on completion will ensure massive power infrastructure in the State, and usher the State into industrial revolution.


The Chairman of the Committee, Mr Otis Anyaeji thanked the Governor for appointing them, assuring that they will work assiduously to bring up Anambra to ensure that Ndi Anambra get constant and affordable power supply.


Other members of the Committee include Messrs Emeka Ezenwanne, Alex Amakom and Ugochukwu Ifediora, George Chiatula, Obi Onuchukwu, Victor Okigbo and one representative each from the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company and Transmission Company of Nigeria.
